The Riverdale Nature Preservancy is available as a resource to elected officials as well as residents. In 2021, the NYC City Council held a special election for our district. In order to create awareness around current issues of ecology, preservation, and long term planning, the Preservancy hosted an educational forum for candidates to share their views. The forum was virtual due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, and is available for viewing here. Eric Dinowitz won the special election.
Note: Jessica Haller, who was a board member at the time of this election as well as a candidate, recused herself from all forum preparations. Also, a portion of the original recording was cut off due to a technical problem, so candidate Mino Lora was invited to re-record her segment.
